Take a look at Amsterdam-Noord from the mini-suite (open from 12:30)

From 1965 to 2017 the Gerben Wagenaarbrug bridge house accommodated the city’s bridge keepers. In 2017 it started a new chapter as one of the 28 mini suites of SWEETS hotel.

The Gerben Wagenaarbrug and the bridge house were designed in 1965 by Enrico Hartsuyker as part of the plans for the IJtunnel. The square brick tower stands between the North Holland Canal and IJtunnel road. The building previously functioned as a bridge house, also housing the tunnel controller. In the current bedroom you can still find the old bridge control panel, and from the living room you can enjoy a panoramic view of the IJtunnel entrance and the Central Station.

Starting from 12:30, there will be a tour every 30 minutes for a maximum of 6 persons (children under supervision). De last tour will be at 16:00.

All guided tours are now fully booked.
Without an entrance ticket, there is no point in coming to Brugwachtershuisje!

The bridge house is not accessible for the disabled.
