Beautiful view of the Oostelijk Havengebied (Eastern Docklands)

The Lloyd Hotel was opened in 1921 and served as a land movers' hotel. From the Lloyd large groups of Eastern Europeans left for South America. In 2004 it became a hotel with a lot of room for cultural events and promotion of Dutch Design.

The tower of the Lloyd Hotel is part of a design by architect Evert Breman for the emigrant hotel of the Royal Dutch Lloyd from 1921. At the top of the hotel a wind vane in the shape of a gilded ship is on display and from the octagonal tower there is an amazing view of the Eastern Docklands.

Open: from 10:00 -16:00 permanently. You might have to wait a bit, when it is busy.

The Lloyd Hotel tower is not accessible for the disabled.
