OZW building – VU University Amsterdam
The OZW Building is a beacon in the architectural landscape of VU Amsterdam. The building is popularly known as the Red Pieper due to its shape. The 52-meter high building was designed by Jeanne Dekkers and opened in 2006. It gives shape to an innovative integrated office and education concept in which various educational activities are combined: WO in combination with HBO courses by Hogeschool Inholland and the Open University, but you can also take courses from the Griffioen cultural center. In this building, the Alma rooms are located on the top floors with a magnificent view of the knowledge quarter, also known as the Innovation District Zuidas, and the city of Amsterdam.

The building is freely accessible between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Maximum 60 people per hour. You may have to wait for some time when it is busy.
